Tough call. Cedar of Leb and English Oak. Same reason, they are a joy to mill and the sawdust smells lovely.Cedar might edge it as the final boards always seem to be so stable and I've hardly lost any.Worst....?
Beech. I find it hard work. The wood looks lovely but the effort, compared to other woods, doesn't make it enjoyable. As an amateur I want ( selfishly) to enjoy what I'm doing. Or, what's the point?
